Creating a custom web page involves five key phases

1. Needs Assessment

There are certain things that a web site will and won’t do. Perhaps the best advice is to “hire” a web site like you would hire an employee. Be clear on what the site should do ... it can be an on-line brochure, catalog, point of contact, place where potential customers can fill out forms or place orders. It can also be used as a bulletin board for announcements or a place for on-line conversations.

2. Web Design
Design of the pages as they are seen on the internet. This can be a custom design such as www.KMDhospitality.com or a template like www.WeSolveConflict.com. It may also include Flash movies like most our templates have to give the page some life and provide a subliminal feeling on what the page is about. Other special effects like the car on KurkHomes.com, photo galleries, image fades, music, etc. are also available to create the ambiance of the page and interest. Keep in mind that they can be very effective but should be used in moderation.

3. Installation
Moving the web site from the designer's computer to a hosting computer that will serve the pages to your customers as requested.

4. On-going Hosting
Providing an on-going home for the web site and the maintenance required to serve the pages as designed.

5. Maintenance
Your business is continually growing and changing. Your web site must do the same.
